South Africa’s oldest and most versatile prefabricated building system. Developed in the early 1940s, many original modular buildings remain standing today after multiple relocations. This system consists of an engineered steel frame clad with fibre cement panels that are reinforced with laminated polystyrene, with high quality insulation placed within the wall cavity. Strong, thermally efficient and highly durable, it is suitable for both temporary and permanent applications.
